Most permanent placements come together within a few weeks once your search is live. We recommend starting the process two to three months before your ideal start date, which gives you the widest choice of candidates and time to interview properly rather than rushing a decision.

Specialist searches take longer - newborn care specialists, live-in roles with specific language combinations, or roles needing special needs experience often mean a smaller qualified pool, so we build in extra time to find the right fit rather than the fastest one.

When you register your role, one of our consultants will talk through the details with you on either video or phone (your preference) - not just hours and salary, but your children's ages and personalities, school schedules, dietary needs, pets, and the everyday realities of your household. The more we understand, the better we can match.

Once we understand the role, we search our vetted candidate database and post the position for new applicants, so both our existing network and fresh candidates are considered. We filter by:

• Live-in or live-out availability

• Language combinations

• Newborn care, special needs, or multiples experience

• Driving licence and permit status

• Specific household or dietary requirements

Because our regional offices share the same system, we can also draw on candidates from other Swiss cantons - or Rockmybaby's international network - if your search needs a wider net. You'll typically receive two to four matched candidate profiles to review, rather than a long list to sort through yourself.

Every candidate we present to you has been personally interviewed by one of our consultants, holds - or is actively obtaining - a current criminal clearance and First Aid certification, and will have their references and employment history verbally verified.

You can interview candidates yourself or have us coordinate on your behalf - either way, we're happy to provide a set of interview questions as a starting point. Once you've chosen someone, we help set up the employment relationship: salary guidance, a template contract and payslip, and advice on social contributions and work permits.

Our involvement doesn't end at the signature. If the placement doesn't work out in the first six months, we search again at no extra cost, and our team stays available for support throughout.
