- Friendly family in Bondi are seeking a dedicated and caring nanny to provide nurturing and attentive care for G1.5 years on Mondays and Tuesdays.
We are looking for someone who will engage with their child’s curious nature, encouraging their development in a fun and caring way. While experience with Montessori or child-led care is a plus, the family value someone who is open-minded and passionate about fostering creativity and independence. While one or both parents will often be working from home, the parents aim to provide you with the space and autonomy to care for their child independently during working hours.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan and supervise age-appropriate activities to encourage learning and development (eg. visits to the beach, park, or library, or other engaging activities)
• Prepare meals and snacks, ensuring they are nutritious and child-friendly
• Handle light housekeeping tasks related to the child (eg. tidying play areas and cleaning up after meals)
Schedule & Routine:
• Start time may vary depending on the routine (eg. later start on Mondays if we continue with swimming lessons)
Please note the family are happy to guarantee a set amount of hours and and if the nanny would like longer hours on a Monday for example then there is the possibility of taking their daughter to swimming or moving it to another day.
• Flexibility is appreciated as routines may evolve over time
Requirements:
• Experience or openness to Montessori or child-led approaches to care is preferred
• Driver’s license preferred but not essential. Family car may be available for use.
Street parking available and can provide visitor parking permits.
• Comfortable working in a home with animals (we have a friendly French bulldog and a cat, though no pet care is required)
• Comfortable with one or both parents working from home
